Great attention to technique, which is exactly what I asked for when I joined Wicklow Strength and Fitness. The coaches take the time to carefully observe each movement, correcting my form and explaining why certain adjustments matter. The class was really well paced and everything was explained in detail, Deb gave excellent individual tips during the class to help with movements that weren't overwhelming or confusing, made a lot of progress in just one session.

Eddie is fab. He’s so knowledgeable and really pays attention during class - he notices exactly when you’re struggling and adjusts the exercise right away, whether it’s changing the weight or modifying the movement to suit your ability. He’s really upbeat and motivating, which keeps the energy high and makes you want to push through even when it gets tough. After the workout, the great stretches he leads help my muscles feel relaxed and refreshed instead of tight and sore. Both my son and I love his classes at Wicklow Strength and Fitness because they’re challenging but never overwhelming, and Eddie’s energy makes every session enjoyable and rewarding.
Got an injured back and as always Eddie was excellent at helping me adjust the exercises or pay attention to the right things to avoid making it worse

I’m happy with all the coaches here. There are quiet ones who let you take the lead on the chats and there’s Eddie. I really enjoyed today’s session and I learned a bit more. A different eye on what you are doing will often spot something new you can tweak and make a movement easier or more effective. I’m looking forward to many more of these semi-private, small group workouts.

I'm currently training with a wrist injury, although it's quite challenging to think of different ways to exercise without using my wrist , Vicki is on the ball and changing the exercises to cater for me which is really appreciated. I recently joined CrossFit classes at WSF, and Deborah has been fantastic! Her coaching style is motivating, supportive, and fun. She creates a friendly and welcoming vibe, especially for newcomers like me who might feel a little nervous joining a new group. I was struggling with double unders at first, but by my second session with her, I finally managed to do them, which felt like a big win. What I really appreciate is how Deborah encourages me to push myself with the weights, which is great for building confidence and strength. She also takes the time to check in with everyone individually during class, giving personalised tips to help us improve and making workouts feel more achievable and less intimidating. Looking forward to more sessions.

What Eddie has done for me cannot be put into words. I now realise ‘slow and steady’ wins the race. Making sure I don’t injure myself throughout the sessions (either with him or on my own) is paramount and to me is always at the forefront when Eddie is creating the exercises for the session. While also increasing either weight or reps in small doses really does make a difference. He is a credit to the WSF. Also, can I shout out to all the other instructors who are always very welcoming and helpful if I have a query when I’m on my own.
I love the fitness and babies class! Vicki has helped me gain back strength and fitness after having my baby and I feel so much better and able now. I have met lots if other lovely mom's too.

Vicki's classes have quickly become the highlight of my week. I used to be intimidated by the gym environment but Vicki has made a space where everyone feels welcome regardless of our different abilities. I really enjoyed today’s class. Even though there is so much going on in the class with babies on the move and mama’s working on different exercises/weights, Vicki has a great eye on what’s going on and ensures your technique and approach is correct. I like that each class incorporates different exercises and workouts.

Eddie has been great since I joined a couple of months ago. I’ve always been scared of the gym as I’m not the most outgoing person in the world and he has made getting into a routine so easy. Obviously his knowledge has also helped me tremendously and attention to my needs is the main reason I was happy to keep my membership going. Everyone else in the gym are bang on and very welcoming. Genuinely delighted I joined, thanks all.
Paul did a great class. I like that he does cool down excerises with us as they are needed after all work outs and I normally forget to do them after I work out .
Very enjoyable but tough class
I started coming to the gym in February and it has been really great 4 months. The workouts have been really well structured and nicely challenging. What I've liked the most is that every week there is always something new to try while also continuing to work on the program.
Can't say enough good things about Eddie! He's always super helpful in breaking down movements, attentive to everyone in a class and most importantly he brings good vibes and motivation. 10/10

Deborah is a brilliant coach,the classes are great, I have no pain since the second week I started, back in January. I have way more energy,and have strength in muscles I never knew I had 😀😀. Vicki was brilliant today. I'm recovering from a slight injury and we talked through everything before the session to make sure I didn't aggravate it. Throughout the session Vicki kept checking in to see how I was feeling, which gave me the confidence that I was working with the right weight for each exercise

Great start to the weightlifting program!
I got a request for review for today's class programmed and organised by Liam O'Toole, however Liam is not listed in the drop down menu, so I've selected Eddie, because you know who wouldn't pick Eddie. Today's notification arrived just as I was mid 100 pullups, to be split between a team of three, so naturally I was doing 50 of them. (shout out to my teammates Shauna & April) As you can understand that 50 pullups can be taxing on the body, nevermind my state of mind, I chose not to stop doing the pullups to submit a hot take review of today's class, but I chose to let the dust settle, before considering my review of today's class / team workout. I suppose you can't have a workout with first there being a workout programmed, and let's say this waa a doozey, it have everything a growing boy needed, it had your cardio, brought to you in the form or stationary rowing and again in the form of stationary bicycling that creates a powerful wind of fitness. You had the explosive use of weights in the form of shoulder to overhead dual dumbells push / jerk presses. Which were a dealers choice of mass to choose from. I chose the slightly anventerous weight of 20 gravity defying kilogrammes, for each dumbell. These were challenging at best when approaching the culmination of my third set of 15 repetitions. We had wall-balls which didn't involve a wall and kettle bell swings that didn't involve kettles, or bells, come to think of it, is that why dumbbells are called dumb, as they don't make a bell noise 🤔. Anyway I digress. The workout was bisected by a considerable amount of pullups which as I mentioned earlier did tax the body and soul (nonexistent soul notwithstanding) before we were brought to the piece de resistance, the burpee box jumps, the PTSD rendering movement that makes grown men cry, and women swoon. Vicki runs an excellent fitness and babies class, it’s great to get back to training at the pace that suits my body postpartum. Vicki is so knowledgable and its easy to just show up and let her advise all the correct exercises and adaptations.

I’ve been a member of WSF 6 months now and I love Vicki’s classes as she’s always happy smiling and can really turn a frown upside down which is great if you’ve a bad day in work she can brighten up your day. I always come out of the class learning a new CrossFit skill move even if it’s just a simple thing to a movement that you’re learning it all adds up. Fantastic coach so knowledgeable of CrossFit and fitness 5 stars ⭐️

I've only had a few coaches over the years and I'd have to say Eddie is excellent, he has taken on board the few issues I have and built some sessions around them that are showing fast results.I'd highly recommend Eddie and look forward to continuing my training with Wicklow strength and fitness

Good workout, had to reduce weights on the bellbar as could not lift them with 5kg weights, maybe this was due to fatigue or how I'd positioned the bar. All other sections went great. Delighted to get my first session done @ the beginning of the week!

Very good execution of class, communicative and helpful. However, her height continues to be an issue. Will inquire with the major brands and see if they provide an indoor training shoe with an ergonomic lift in the heel. This will hopefully ease her pain. Regards
