Jo is so great!! She always makes sure to help me modify and scale my workouts without making me feel embarrassed. She’s also super encouraging and friendly which makes me leave the gym feeling proud of myself and wanting to come back and push myself more.

Lindsey set us up with a good warmup and a workout that was challenging and fun. She always demonstrates the safe techniques to lift and move, which I appreciate. We ended with some heavy deadlifts. She did great at coaching us.
Drew is easy to talk too, fun, informative, and very attentive during his instruction. I would recommend we do a class coach by Drew.

I LOVE taking classes with Susie! She starts on time, is thorough in breaking down the movements and wod- including scaling to capacity. She also watches us move and cheers us on. I deeply appreciate her depth of knowledge, her style and coaching confidence.

Jo is an effective coach. She explains and demonstrates the workouts, then asks if we have any questions. During the workout she is engaged by walking around checking on every athlete and giving them words of encouragement or tips for improvement.
Susie is a great motivator and amazing coach. Makes working out fun and just enjoy the vibe here. The coaches emphasize proper form and are always making sure everyone is doing movements correctly, scaling as needed based on limitations, and getting the most that you can out of every workout. Great people and a welcoming community!

The class was fun and challenging. The instructor provides variety of options for difficulty and gives good points for a good form while doing the circuit training. The place looks clean, they have variety of equipment available
This may be the best fitness class I’ve ever done. Thanks to other online reviews I wasn’t nervous because other women said how awesome tgis experience is, and they were so right. I was honest about my physical limitations thanks to numerous injuries, and Lindsey was right on in acclimating me to what felt good for my body. I got in a great workout and met some amazing women. I’ve been looking for a workout community and I think I’ve found it. If we can work it into the family schedule, I’ll be a regular 😊

Susie does a great job of teaching and providing reminding cues to make sure we do the movements correctly, even for simple warmup exercises. I always learn something new (or something I've forgotten), and Susie's care is evident in her careful observation and coaching of each class member.

Hey Hillary. I've yet to do any of these surveys, but let's face it - this place is badass. Let's break it down. I intentionally try to keep myself cognizant to my environment; purposely surround myself with people who push themselves & others in all aspects of their lives, don't make excuses, don't settle for average in anything - you know, simply those who choose to "do hard shit." It's a culture thing; a shared mindset. I may not be the strongest athlete, the most well known, have the best 6-pack that beams through the men's wet t-shirt contest, and maybe not even the dude whose perfected the ultimate wall walk, but I sure as hell choose to keep myself at The Roost. Oh - and I know you were curious; I'll be up to the athleticism and physique in the near future to sign up for one of those wet t-shirt contests through a bit of continued consistency in these 0500 classes 😉 As professionally as I can put it, the coaches, the gym, and the fellow athletes are the shit. So much so "the shit" should be italicized (I just can't figure out how to do so on my phone). "The arrow doesn't chase the target, the target draws the arrow." - Unknown "Be persistent and consistent with the work habit. Be patient with the results." - Unknown Take your pick; both quotes apply. Keep crushing it 👊

Coach Shae always says hi as soon as I walk into the gym and makes me feel welcomed into this community. He did a great job explaining the workout as well as giving several ideas of how to scale the workout for my particular limitations. He also gives constructive feedback on my lifts which is very helpful.

Jo was the first coach that I ever met as she coached the first class I took at The Roost. She is consistently one of my favorite people to chat with, learn from, and take class from! She’s easy going, positive, and knows how to meet people right where they at but also how to push them to be better. I love that about Jo!

Lindsey was great as a coach and made sure everyone was ready to go and knew how to do all the movements especially because she had a mix of experience of students…some vets and some new to CrossFit. She also made sure the strength and wod ran smoothly with the amount of participants in class.

Lindsey is an amazing coach and makes working out actually fun! She makes everyone feel welcome and like they truly belong in her class. Tonight was especially fun since we all attached wall balls to our bellies to do our workout “pregnant” in support of one of the girls in class who is 9 months pregnant. It was an excellent, fun work out! I always love to come to Lindsey’s classes! I know I will be getting an awesome workout, but actually enjoy it!

As with all classes I’ve had with Rosie, today’s was top notch! Rosie goes out of her way to coach all athletes in class, at all levels. For individual athletes her direction and cues are perfectly balanced between safety, technique, and performance. Beyond the individual, Rosie runs an exceptional class and she is organized, timely, and engaging. Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback and praise for such a talented coach!

Jo is amazing. She has just the right amount of energy. While making you feel welcomed and wanted in class. Always included in the family. (Which not all coaches do) Making sure every to help you understand the modifications. She’s also easy to talk to when you need to make adjustments to fit your needs. I always love when she’s coaching!

As someone new to CrossFit and not in the best shape, Lindsey has been incredible at helping me scale the workouts so I can keep up with the class while still getting a great workout. She’s great at listening and always provides helpful guidance on techniques. She is really easy to talk to and provides overall help on fitness and nutrition to help me get to a healthier version of myself!
I always enjoy when Tyson coaches. He helps make a relaxed atmosphere where people feel comfortable to push themselves and make improvements on their technique. If only he didn’t play all that sad-boy country music during the warmup… 😭😜
