Aminta and all the coaches at Village Fit are wonderful. Couldn’t recommend this gym highly enough. Expert coaches, relaxed and fun atmosphere, getting stronger all the time and day-to-day tasks are getting easier because of it.

Coach Taki led the class I was in as a new prospect trying it out for the first time. I loved the class itself, and his teaching style: a mix of subtle humor and easy-to-comprehend steps with variations for different fitness levels. A big drawback for me is that classes must be signed up for in advance, and as I am currently coming and going from Portland and don’t have a regular schedule, that may be difficult. I’m checking out a nearby gym today and will figure out whether I can perhaps do both - maybe a limited membership there and a book of passes with Village Fit. Most appreciated is that the class feels like both semi-private coaching and small group exercises, with nice participants and an enjoyable coach, all rolled up into one package.

Taka delivers a senior training routine that seems simple but really gets results on balance, strength, coordination, and cardio. It is the perfect class for a women in her 70’s!

I love it when I can catch a class at VF with the one and only Aminta! She's amazing. And even better, today a big focus of our workout was on power cleans. If you know the power clean, it's not super intuitive and takes a great deal of focus on form and movement. Aminta's coaching is the best! So much detail and attention paid to each of us in the class, meeting each class participant "where they are" in their workout journey. Five stars +++
Patrick is fantastic! He has great classes with modifications if needed and kindly corrects posture to avoid injury. By consistently attending Patrick’s classes I am getting stronger and my clothes are fitting better too!

This review is for Taka's Seniors' Strength & Balance Class. It is absolutely wonderful! Today's class was very challenging but I pushed myself and did 50 squats and 5 planks. I couldn't do doodly squat when I started in June - he adapts to class members abilities.
Patrick was super encouraging for my intro class and helped get my form straightened out after years away from the gym.

Takayuki’s classes are always a balance of strength training and stretching. The balance and stretching continue to challenge us.i have seen a difference in my mobility in the last 5 weeks.

Patrick is an excellent coach!! This is my first experience in weight training since my late teens early 20s. He has slowed it down by explained best practice and made real time corrections as I did the routines. He and village fitness is flexible and accommodating for any personal desire or limitation. This gym is my happy place for soooooo many reasons. Here’s today’s reason… 🩵The workouts are well rounded with strength, cardio, mobility segments. 💛Aminta is an attentive coach. She has an eye on everyone’s form and makes necessary corrections. 🖤I am newly back after realizing I am not a workout at home girl. Today was my first class after being away for 20months. There were more familiar faces in the gym than not. Familiar AND friendly!! 🤍The environment is positive. 🩵The mindset is listen to and meet your body where it’s at TODAY. 💛 I am excited to go back!! 🖤 ALL fitness levels and bodies can participate in the classes here. The instructor will offer modifications without judgement. 🤍 This community is a well rounded and healthy one!

I am slowly transitioning back into working out after having a kid and Cordell has been an absolute delight in supporting me in that journey. His classes always feel welcoming (as does the whole Village Fit community). Workouts are challenging but modified for my specific ability (I am sore for days afterwards… it’s a great feeling!). He provides guidance on my form. Pushes me to get the most out of my workout. Most of all, the individual encouragement and support he provides me makes me feel well supported on my fitness journey. I look forward to my mornings with Cordell!

Cordell was the best! He knew there were new people in the class so he had everyone introduce themselves! It was so welcoming. He had great positive energy and made gentle corrections which was fantastic bc it meant he was watching everyone.

Another awesome class with Cordell, our favorite coach at Village Fit. Very much appreciate his enthusiasm (esp. at 5:50am!), professionalism, and attention to details; always makes it a point to check in on everyone during class and provide on the fly feedback and corrections. Based on our 12 years of small group and private training, he is one of those rare people that has a gift for coaching.

Cordell is an amazing coach and I enjoyed the workout today, even though it was a hard grind, he kept the whole class motivated and pushing harder, but always with good form. His attitude is light and cheerful every time I see him and it makes getting to the gym easy knowing I’ll be led well by him when I get there.
