Slate Wrestling Academy

It was good work, really felt like a true wrestling workout, but I only learned, sort-of, one new wrestling move.

Great instruction over a very niche aspect of wrestling. Everything was covered in a technical, but easy to grasp step by step method.

Ethan and everyone at the gym were so kind, welcoming, and supportive. Zayden really enjoyed his session and felt comfortable right away. The facility was very clean, and since he didn’t come in with wrestling shoes, they even provided him with a pair so he could participate fully. The prices are very affordable, and overall the experience was excellent. They even allowed my 4-year-old son to join in for a bit—he loved it and is still talking about what he learned! He’s a little young to start right now, but once he’s of age, I’ll definitely be signing him up too.

Today would’ve been my third or fourth time showing up to one of swa’s practices, but I definitely noticed that the environment felt less judgmental than when I first came. It makes me actually eager to come back rather than being scared to/intimidated like the first few times.

Coach Kelly is fantastic and our group fitness sessions have been fun, upbeat, and inclusive of all fitness and strength levels. Each class thus far has had a challenging yet achievable exercise routine that’s been both well-explained and rewarding to complete.

Coach Slater is an excellent coach. He is very knowledgeable about the sport of wrestling. I give him a 5⭐️in rating. He I amazing coach.

Second time we have been to Slate for some matches and both times have been great. Everything runs smooth and kids get as many matches as they want.
