Great session today with Joshua! He knew exactly how to challenge me without pushing too far, and I left feeling stronger and super motivated. Every workout with him is different and always worth it!
Chai is a fantastic coach. I love how she takes the time to ensure proper technique to avoid injury. She always has great recovery tips that are detailed and specific to that days work out (I.e. use the 45 lbs bar to roll out muscles instead of a foam roller if you really want to break down the fascia).
Miguel always does a great job of instructing the class. His warm ups help prepare us and position us for a safe and effective workout.
This is the hardest thing I have done. Here’s the crazy thing is I look forward to his class🤭
Josh was awesome! He was super attentive and encouraging throughout the workout. I really liked his taste in music — it kept the energy up the whole time. He’s also very accommodating to everyone, no matter what fitness level you’re at. Overall, it was a great class, and I left feeling motivated and energized. Highly recommend!
Really great workout. Joshua was great in trying to accommodate a knee injury that I have by modifying the workouts as needed. The whole group was very welcoming and made it easy for a newby.

Joshua Chan not only pays attention to the details of everybody’s form (to reduce injury and maximize strength), he also brings so much spirit to the workout. Personal attention, leadership, brains behind his magic, and poise. I’ve been with him for 7 years. I’ve been a member at 6 other gyms like this, I promise this will be your favorite!
Zack is fantastic! He’s great with newcomers like me who need scaled workouts, but he also knows when to encourage you to push harder and make progress if he sees you’re ready.
Joshua does a fantastic job delivering effective programming that pushes you out of your comfort zone to get you stronger, faster, and ultimately, healthier. He does it in a way that’s safe and meets you exactly where you’re at. His approach to fitness is backed by science and met with encouragement each time you walk into the gym.
Redondo Beach Fitness is a great place to work out and connect with other people in the community. Josh is an excellent coach who encourages members to push themselves while also promoting safe lifting techniques and having reasonable performance expectations. RB Fitness is the best!
Todays’s coaching was great! I really felt supported because you watched my form closely and corrected me when needed, which helped me feel safe confident. You also pushed me to go a little further and that showed me I’m capable of more than I thought. Overall, the session kept me motivated and reminded me why your coaching makes such a difference.

Joshua is always spending time coaching and directing individuals in the class to make sure that their form and posture is correct in doing each of the exercises. It is one of the things I really love about him and attending the workouts.

I have been searching for a gym home for several years, and I am thrilled to have finally found RB Fitness. The coaches and community here are incredible - genuine, supportive, positive, and kind. Josh, in particular, has been a fantastic coach. He sets realistic and progressive goals that helped me achieve milestones I have never thought possible. When I started, holding a dashing for more than 20 seconds was difficult. After 1.5 years at RB Fitness, I was able to do Murph Rx (no vest)! I cannot recommend RB Fitness enough 😇😇😇

Huge shoutout to Coach Miguel today—he checked in with me before our front squat sets and encouraged me to go heavier than I planned, which helped me hit a 3-rep PR. He knows what people are capable of and brings the kind of energy that makes you want to level up. The second part of the workout was brutal, but Miguel was right there, fully present—tracking our numbers, cheering us on, and keeping everyone moving. His attention to detail and constant encouragement make a huge difference. Just one of those coaches who makes the whole gym better. Thank you Miguel!!

Joshua is always a very attentive and considerate coach. He is very helpful in pinpointing what weight is right for me, and he also is really good about pointing out ways in which my technique can improve for any given exercise. Today was a good example of that in making sure I didn't overload weight on the barbel for our back squats. He also has a great sense of humor, and his lighthearted spirit makes the gym a genuinely enjoyable place to be.
I love working out at Redondo Beach Fitness. Everyone is super friendly and encouraging. No big egos! I mainly workout with Josh. He is very knowledgeable and super friendly. He really cares about form, and modifies the exercises based on individual needs rather than “one size fits all”, so the workouts feel more personalized. The gym is well equipped, and very clean. Josh takes pride in keeping the gym in excellent condition. I also like the sense of community. The gym always has some fun activities around holidays. I also very much enjoy the newsletter. It includes birthday shoutouts. What a great way to make people feel special! Thank you, Josh, and RBF team 🙌🏽

Josh and the entire Redondo Beach Fitness team are great trainers. Everything is scaled to your level of fitness, so whether you’re just starting out, coming back from a break, or working to compete, you’re able to make feel challenged yet nothing is unobtainable. I’ve made great progress at this gym, both in my own strength and athleticism, as well as making friends and feeling a part of the community. Thanks again to Josh and the RBF family!
Joshua is an excellent coach and a great fitness resource. His background in both gymnastics and CrossFit provides a useful base for him to develop challenging but highly beneficial training programs that target strength, endurance, mobility and increased range of motion. Chai is one of the best coaches I’ve worked with in my life! I’ve been training with her for over two years now, and I’m amazed at the progress I’ve made thanks to her incredible coaching. When I first started training at Redondo Beach Fitness, I didn’t know anything about CrossFit or the barbell. Now, I can power clean with a hook grip, and Chai mostly recently coached me on how to nail the split jerk! What I really appreciate about Chai is how patient she is. She’ll take as long as needed to fix your form and make sure you’re doing everything right. She’s super persistent and never lets me get away with sloppy technique. Because of her focus on building strength and perfecting form, I feel way stronger and way more confident in my lifts. Thanks Chai💪🏽
Great place for anyone looking to start or enhance their fitness journey! Coach Joshua is the best. He made it easy for me to understand and implement the proper techniques especially since I’ve never done much strength conditioning before. He always takes the time to tailor the class work outs to your individual skill level and fitness goal. He is passionate about his work and keeps you motivated and progressing. I can’t speak highly enough about him and the gym whether you’re an expert or beginner!
Chai is absolutely incredible, one of the best strength and lifting coaches I’ve ever had! Her deep knowledge of anatomy and body mechanics sets her apart from coaches at other gyms because she understands how each muscle and joint contributes to movement and performance. She uses that expertise to help us train smarter, avoid injury, and reach our full potential. Every time I take her class, I know I’m in good hands.

Miguel is a top notch coach.. Leads us through a great warm up with lots of stretching before lifting.. He instructs us on proper form and technique. He comes in every morning with an up beat attitude and sets that tone for the class
