As intimidating as CrossFit can be to an outsider, Michael and the team at POFP were nothing short of accepting a newbie such as myself and being patient in coaching correct form to make sure I got the most out of the workout in a safe way. Was it challenging? Absolutely. Rewarding? You bet. I recommend anyone to check them out to take, at a minimum, the trial class. The only disappointment you’ll have is if you finish the workout knowing you didn’t do YOUR best as the support to do so surrounds you!

Coaching is awesome! Elizabeth is always ready to answer questions about the terminology of each exercise listed, patiently breaking down any confusing words so you really understand what you’re doing. Most importantly, she takes the time to teach the correct techniques and methods, focusing closely on proper posture and positioning while performing each movement or using the equipment. They don’t just tell you what to do - they watch intently, noticing small details in your form, then guide you through adjustments that make each movement safer and more effective. I’ve learned a lot from their detailed instruction and feel more confident with every session. Beyond the coaching, I really enjoy the support from both the coach and the members in the class. There’s a genuine sense of encouragement throughout the workout, with people cheering each other on and sharing tips, which keeps me motivated and fully engaged. The combination of clear teaching, hands-on guidance, and a supportive community at POFP crossfit makes every visit rewarding and something I truly look forward to.
I am brand new to CrossFit and working out in a gym, and POFP crossfit has been a great place to start. Elizabeth is a great instructor who shows real patience with me, taking the time to explain every movement and workout clearly. She is very knowledgeable, breaking down complex exercises into steps I can follow and always making sure my form is right. The workouts themselves are awesome - each session challenges me in different ways, mixing strength, cardio, and skill work that keeps me engaged and motivated. I can already feel results after just a few classes. On top of that, everyone in the classes has been very friendly and encouraging, creating a welcoming atmosphere where I feel comfortable asking questions and pushing myself. This community vibe makes a big difference and keeps me coming back.

Love the way you encourage support each person and address form for each move. So welcoming and encouraging others to support and get to know one another . Friendly staff great equipment attention to customers fantastic!
Everyone was so welcoming and helpful! Amanda took extra time to explain each part of the workout before we started and made sure we had what we needed. She was encouraging the whole time. I had a great first experience and I plan to go back!
The gym was clean and neat. The machines were a pleasure to use, so smooth. The treadmill was nice, so many options to apply.

Loved it. You were very encouraging throughout the entire session, constantly motivating everyone to push a little harder while carefully watching our form and offering adjustments when needed. I noticed how the team truly lifts each other up - celebrating small wins with genuine enthusiasm and stepping in to help when someone struggles with a movement, creating a strong sense of camaraderie.

Helped me move my box whiiiiile I was doing box jumps. He does a great job at motivating the group and being mindful of everyone he coaches. I always love when he coaches.

Cait is very supportive and encouraging during class. She consistently checks in on how I’m doing, offers helpful tips on my form, and motivates me to keep going even when the workout gets really tough. I really enjoy her as a coach, especially on those days when I’m not feeling my best - her energy and encouragement make a noticeable difference. When Cait is coaching at POFP crossfit, I know I’m in for a good, hard-earned workout that challenges me just enough to push my limits without overwhelming me. Thanks for your support, coach Cait!!
She did an excellent job showing us the movements and explaining everything!!!
When I first started taking class with Elizabeth as the coach. She asked me if I had any issues. I told her that I had rotator cuff surgery and the middle of my back between my shoulder blades was always sore. She said that strength training will be beneficial for me. Along the way of over the 1 1/2 years, I had some issues with my heart and she would tell me to listen to my body, and genuinely cared. I have followed her directions and continue to get stronger. Thank you to Elizabeth and Team Always enjoy the sweat 😊

Elizabeth takes time to explain how our exercise are supposed to be executed, and then she watches us and makes corrections. She also gives credit when due. She is involved with her students.

Dan is an enthusiastic coach and he communicates clearly. Sometimes I’d appreciate more individualized encouragement to increase weights, hit prs, etc increase my abilities. Could do without the commercials. Hard to pay attention to what he is saying when commercials are on. 😊

Great! Was super attentive and encouraging. Remained engaged the entire time. Knew what she was talking about (love the Fishbowl cue) and provided a proper warm-up for the work we were about to do.
Jody does a great job of explaining the movements and keeping everyone on track through the workout.
She is a great coach but a little laid back and not as engaging with proper form. Would like a little more feedback as I’m working out.
I attended an open gym and did the WOD on my own but Larry was there to coach me through the intended stimulus, strategy, and then recap the workout with me when I finished.
