(My first full class after signing up 2 days ago and doing an intro 1:1 then) Today’s class: Madeline was very available and present to help me get going. Since it was my first time following the monitor I was high maintenance and needed very individualized instruction. Madeline provided it-in a non judgmental, patient, informative way. She helped me modify some of the workouts to suit my beginner status- sometimes the mods were significant, as in nearly whole new exercises- loved that she was as knowledgeable enough to give me alternatives that worked same muscle groups but didn’t aggravate some of my weaknesses like lower back and shoulders. Madeline helped me size up correctly with weight and bar height too- without making me feel wimpy about my very very limited strength capacity. I am confident I will get stronger- today’s first session was excellent- Madeline made me feel comfortable and like I actually accomplished something. Oh, and she helped me navigate the app and log my metrics- I should have watched the HOW TO video beforehand but didn’t. Madeline had my back. Session blew by quickly. The music was good. I left without doing the warm down (/feel better) stretches- I should have asked about that- but I was running behind and was trying to get out before the next class started. Bummer Madeline will be gone for a while having surgery- hoping the other coaches are as good as Madeline.
Carly makes every session at Mighty Movement enjoyable by being attentive and supportive. She listens carefully to my needs and adjusts workouts accordingly. Going heavier--because she knows I can--or lighter because she sees me struggling. Her positive attitude and encouragement help keep my motivation high throughout the session.

I really like working out with Carly. Over the last few months, she has taken the time to understand how my body works and where my limits are. She knows exactly when to push me harder and when to help me modify exercises to avoid strain or injury. I’ve been less consistent in attendance than I would like due to some family pressures, but she always just welcomes me back with a smile. On top of this, I love her musical selections, which are energizing without being distracting. Makes the time fly by!

I am new to lifting weights and was concerned about hurting myself. Nick provided great instruction by clearly explaining each movement and demonstrating proper form step-by-step. He paid close attention to how I was doing and offered alternative exercises when needed, understanding that it’s going to take time for some of my muscles to build the strength to carry their load. Thanks to his careful guidance and patience, I felt comfortable throughout the whole session. Madeline welcomed me for my first upper body class today graciously. Not only was she a fantastic coach for the day, but she took extra time with me to help work on a couple of questions and a specific shoulder stretch I wanted to try after class. I’ll be checking the schedule to see if she’s coaching the next time I sign up.

I appreciated the support as I learned the routine and tested weight levels. The coach was attentive throughout, carefully observing my form and making sure I felt confident before moving on. I liked being encouraged to max out - it pushed me beyond what I thought I could do without feeling overwhelmed. When you gave me a weight during hip thrusts to push me more, it really stood out. That extra resistance made me feel like I chose the right spot to grow in lifting, and I could actually feel my muscles working harder in a way that felt productive and motivating. The combination of guidance and challenge at Mighty Movement made the session both manageable and rewarding.
Nick managed the large class with the skill of a leader , reaching out to each athlete with appropriate coaching suggestions.

I went to my first ever session at MM with John as the trainer and I’m really glad he was there. I haven’t exercised in over a year, and felt very nervous and self-conscious going into the exercises. John was super helpful in demonstrating proper technique to me, and was an encouraging voice the entire time. Before attempting hip thrusts with the bar, John noticed I didn’t have a hip pad and handed me one so I could protect myself. When I came close to passing out/throwing up near the end of the B block and told John, he advised me to rest and catch my breath, even coming over to check in on me multiple times before the hour was up. It’s the small things like those that showed me how compassionate of a trainer John is. Although my first session didn’t go as planned, John made me feel welcomed and supported which, to a newbie like me, I am extremely grateful for. Thank you, John! I look forward to future sessions with him (maybe not as early in the morning, and definitely on a fuller stomach haha!).

One thought I wanted to share as a new member of the gym is that there has been very minimal form feedback or assistance for new members (myself and another newer member there today). Not sure what the norm is since I’ve only trained with John so far, but I expected a lot more guidance as someone brand new to the gym and new to some of the equipment and exercises. Overall, he’s friendly and encouraging and I know he’s adapting to being new to teaching adults.
I thought it was amazing — Nick managed to take care of everyone in the class, including me, even though I was making mistakes constantly. It was my first time there and also my first time lifting weights. On top of that, I have several health issues, so I was really nervous about starting to lift and putting stress on my body. But he was incredibly attentive, and I felt very safe and confident about continuing to attend his classes.
Neil gave me useful tips and I felt like he was paying attention to my form. He asked if I had questions and I didn’t feel like I was bothering him. He seems like a positive, kind, and knowledgeable coach.
Carly was awesome! She is so caring while getting me to work hard at the same time. I liked her help with my form because it helped me get the burn in the exercises while I stayed safe.
As someone with a background in teaching and who currently does corporate training, I can tell you this Nick runs his classes very well. He starts on time, keeps things moving, actively monitors what is going on and assists with tips and cautions. Today he even had to do a little behavior management since two people were talking over his instructions to the group. I’m pleased to be in Nick’s classes!

It was my first class and Nick was great. He was helpful setting up station, figuring out what weights to start with and always giving a heads up of what was coming next and how to use app. He didn’t hover and let me settle in. He was always was quick, though, to notice if I had a question or needed an adjustment in my form.
I love going to Mighty Movements, and specifically because Nick leads the classes very well. Each workout is well thought out to maximize our time, but Nick pays particularly close attention to everyone’s abilities and meets them where they are. I’ve always felt completely comfortable asking for help and knowing he will correct my posture where needed. As a result, over the past number of months, I’ve gained a significant amount of strentgh and have physically felt so much better. Nick is a non-nonsense coach where he gets straight to the point and moves the class forward, which is exactly what I appreciate in an early morning workout.

He encourages me to add more weight for a good challenge, and also tells me when too much weight is negatively impacting my form. I've never had an injury working with Nick and I think it's because of his involvement, skills, and effective coaching approach. He's also a nice person, which makes a real difference in setting the vibe for the class.
