I’ve been going to Gateway Fitness for over a year, and you owe it to yourself that you are investing in yourself. I love to run and before joining, I was dealing with pain in my shins and knees from running. Going to Gateway Fitness has helped me build up the strength so I can continue running. It is a very welcoming environment and the coaches are fantastic!

I was nervous walking into the gym as a newcomer, but I love that Seth greeted me by name as soon as I walked in, this instantly made me feel welcome. It was a fun class, I got a great workout, and the music was on point! I’m looking forward to joining in and being part of the group.
Lisa was our coach. I was doing my squats I could hear her encouraging me out of one hole. In the workout I was at the end and dieing she was telling me to keep going. In class I am the low man, last to finish but she keeps saying go go don't stop. 9:30 class with Lisa is great. Thank You Coach Lisa.

The coaches pay close attention to how you’re doing throughout the workout - they watch your form carefully, adjust weights if needed, and check in regularly to make sure you’re comfortable but challenged. They encourage you to push past your limits by offering just the right level of challenge, never making you feel overwhelmed or out of your depth. After taking a few months off, I was scared to come back to the gym. I worried I wouldn’t be able to do the movements anymore, that I would feel judged, and that I’d be completely out of shape compared to everyone else. Coach Terry gave me ideas for substitutions that fit my current needs perfectly, modifying the workout so I could still participate fully without strain. He offered encouragement throughout the entire workout, reminding me to focus on progress rather than perfection. That support made all the difference - by the end, I felt proud and energized instead of frustrated or discouraged. I’m thankful for this gym every day and I’m thankful for the community it has built in my life. The atmosphere here is welcoming and motivating - there’s a shared energy that pushes you to do your best while feeling supported no matter where you’re starting from. CrossFit Obsession - Gateway Fitness isn’t just a place to work out; it’s a place where you discover what you’re really capable of.

Coach Holly is amazing! She is extremely thorough when she demonstrates the movements, breaking down each step with clear explanations and showing proper form in a way that makes even the toughest exercises feel approachable. She is also extremely patient whenever I have questions, taking the time to explain things multiple times and offering encouragement that helps me stay confident. The most positive impact I’ve had with her coaching is overcoming my mental block about movements I never thought I could do - like the GHD sit-up, box jumps, pull-ups (I can now do a quarter of one!), and even just hanging off the rig. Before joining CrossFit Obsession - Gateway Fitness in June 2025, these exercises felt impossible for me as an overweight person. Now, with Holly’s guidance, I’ve been able to accomplish them one by one. Watching the coaches and members push themselves and support each other inspires me every day. It motivates me to keep improving in my own health journey - to get fit and strong. I’m glad and extremely grateful to be part of the CFO community!

Terry is awesome. He’s great with his time management and starts class with a positive energy that immediately lifts the mood. His sense of humor and encouragement make the challenging exercises feel more fun than tough.
Lisa is always amazing. I appreciate her eye for detail - she notices when my form starts to slip and is quick to make suggestions that help me stay safe and get the most out of each exercise. During the workout, she moves around the room, checking in with everyone, adjusting weights or movements to fit individual needs. That attention really stands out and makes me feel supported. I can’t say I enjoyed that particular workout very much... that one was a lot of volume! My muscles were burning by the end, and it pushed me harder than usual. Even though it was tough, having Lisa there at CrossFit Obsession - Gateway Fitness made it manageable because she kept encouraging me and reminded me to focus on technique rather than speed. Yes, I used the AI thing, buts it's accurate!

This box is great and Holly is an excellent coach! We dropped in as we're traveling from Costa Rica. I have low shoulder mobility due to rotator surgeries! Holly was able to teach how one can use a rack to do sot quats and overhead squats and remain in form. Really loved the coaching and wod. The membership was extremely welcoming and friendly, so we felt at home! Thank you Holly and Gateway athletes!

I had a great experience at this CrossFit gym! Kevin, the trainer, was fantastic. Even with just four members in the class, he made sure to give each of us consistent attention throughout the session. He pushed us when he saw the opportunity, but always in a way that felt encouraging and motivating. I really appreciated the feedback he gave during the workout—clear, helpful, and easy to apply. He also took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. Overall, a solid workout and a great coaching experience.

Great classes. I've never been consistent at working out and never did much strength training. Then my daughter was born with special needs that make it so she won't be able to walk until she is older. Which means that for now, she wants to be carried everywhere. I realized that if I wanted a functioning back in my 40s I needed to start taking care of my body. The coaches here have been great, they've taught me the techniques, kept me safe, and helped me get stronger. No more back issues for me, and I feel great.

Today was with Tasha, I love her coaching because she always finds something. Something unique for me to work on whether it’s my lifts or movements in a Wod. Things that most CrossFit coaches miss. She has a great eye and can tune down movements easily. Especially more technical movements like the HSPU.
Lisa is awesome. She is very knowledgeable and attentive to form and technique to help improve performance and prevent injuries. The workouts are challenging yet fun and always keeps us motivated.
She did a great job. The class was large. She did a good job of working the room and dropping cues when she saw the need to. She never seemed frazzled and did a great job of keeping class moving on time.
Holly is by far the best coach because she truly cares about each and every member! She pays close attention to you form and gives helpful suggestions on how to not only improve your capabilities but also decrease your risk of injury. Even though you may be far from that elite athlete status, she treats everyone with respect and love! So few coaches develop a close relationship with their athletes, Holly does! She’s passionate about her job and it’s refreshingly apparent! Best part of my day is spent in her class!
