Thomas made the class fun and was knowledgeable of the WOD.
Cierra gets 5 stars because 6 isn’t allowed. There’s a reason she’s CFL’s head coach. The warm ups are always creative and fun, despite some members (me, I’m members) grumbling. I always learn something when I’m in her class skills sessions (double unders today). She manages to recall specifics on where everyone is at on lifting form/olympic lifts. Mind you, she deals with the teens as well as the adults. I stand corrected after typing all that. 7 stars.
In addition to the individual familiarization and training on the different movements the week prior, I really appreciated Cierra's individual feedback and coaching during my first class as I attempted some of the more advanced moves for the first time with moderate weight.
Sarah is consist attentive and circulates to give constructive advice and encouragement. I always enjoy her classes!

Coach Chase is amazing! I’m an avid runner who recently got into CrossFit, and since starting, my recurring injuries have significantly decreased—and so have my physical therapy visits. Working with Coach Chase has been incredibly helpful; his coaching and attention to form have made a huge difference in my performance and overall health. CrossFit Lorton is an amazing gym with incredible coaches, and the community is so welcoming to everyone, no matter where they are in their fitness journey. Highly recommend!
Coach Pat is one of the best! He somehow pushed me past my limits while cracking jokes and keeping me and everyone else smiling. His positivity and discipline set the tone. I loved how he was personally involved, cheering, correcting, and pushing us right we needed it. Thanks for making it felt like an “easy day”!
I’ve been doing crossfit for a really long time and have been apart of dozens of gyms all over. Cierra is definitely top 1 or 2 coaches I’ve had of all time. And I mean it when I say that. Not too many have her knowledge experience and attention to detail. Anyone can coach a beginner because it’s easy to spot the flaws. Coaching the veteran athlete though? soooooo harrrdddddd and Cierra absolutely rocks it. She sees the small details and carries a diverse Rolodex of cues to help all athletes on literally every level. And she’s direct yet not an asshole when asserting her dominance as a coach in class. And while I am sure she has her favorites, as we are all human, I never felt any kind of relational rejection as I would from those extremely pretentious and cliquey cf communities.. you know exactly what I’m talking about lol don’t act like you don’t! Lol Cierra never made me feel left out or unwelcome. I’m really sad to move and not be able to work closely with her more. But hey, at least I had the time that I did and was able to grow thanks to Cierra. Thanks for the coaching cues! “Real women lift heavy!”

Absolutely great! I do wish she would speak a bit louder while coaching classes because sometimes it can be hard for others in the back to hear but nonetheless amazing overall!
Cierra is an amazing coach, high energy, very knowledgeable, and gives corrections when needed. When I arrive at 5am and she is ready to go with a smile! 😊 I enjoy warming up with her teaching style as she is thorough and I’m ready to go before the initial workout starts! 🏋️♀️
As always, Sarah did a great job at providing different levels of skill level for rope climbs today. It gave me an opportunity to focus on my clamp.

Cierra is supportive and encouraging while also making sure the standards are being met. She makes you feel seen in a class with even 20+ people. She keeps it fun but also competitive which are my favorite things about CrossFit!
Hanna pushed the class out of our comfort zone with pistol squats including all types of options. The explanation was clear and direct and the workout attainable. Loved it!

Cierra, has an infectious spirit that makes you want to push harder and even try something that you have never done before. Her warm ups are never stale, sometimes zany but always prepares us for the workout. I might leave her class sweaty and sore but always with a smile.

There are CrossFit coaches, and there are gym owners, and there are brilliant and wonderful human beings. But very rarely do you get all of these qualities in one person. Hanna’s communication of the expectations, the desired stimulus of the workout, and her reinforcement of the standards throughout the workout make you want to move well; not just for yourself, but because you know she expects the best from you. Cierra at CrossFit Lorton is a fantastic coach. I dropped in for a 0500 class and she made me feel both at ease welcomed immediately. Cierra led the class through a very thorough warm up routine which translated very into both the strength portion and WOD. Additionally, she made point to make each class member was correct in their and if not gave cues on correcting said form. It was readily apparent Cierra is passionate about fitness and CrossFit. This combined with her years of coaching experience puts her in the ideal position to help/support each person reach their fitness goals. Simply put, Cierra is a fantastic coach!
Coach Cierra always exceeds expectations. She runs a tight ship and there is always something new to learn in her classes. She pays attention to everyone, and has a sharp eye to spot a problem with a movement and comes up with suggestions based on the individual’s needs.
You realize immediately that Sarah is an extremely knowledgable and experienced coach. Sarah brings a very caring and positive attitude to the entire class. Sarah makes sure that every athlete gets her personal attention and coaching. Coaching with an injured knee, Sarah never slows down. Outstanding coach!
Today was skill day, and we were working on ring muscle-ups. Fortunately for me, Coach Cierra was coaching the 5am class. She’s my assigned coach, but honestly—like many of the coaches at CrossFit Lorton—she knows exactly where each person is in their progress, their weak points, and what to focus on. With her coaching, I always feel like I’m learning, having fun, and staying safe. This morning I got pretty close to landing a ring muscle-up, but more importantly, I knew exactly what I was doing wrong thanks to her clear, knowledgeable feedback. Training with Cierra feels like getting pro-athlete-level coaching without the pressure of being a career athlete. That’s rare, and it’s why I keep showing up.
Hanna is awesome always a great warmup and she is very energetic and encouraging I always make it through hard workouts with her passionate attitude.

Joe did a great job explaining and walking through the entire workout, giving demonstrations for each movement. From start to finish the class flowed very well. During the workout he gave meaningful feedback and encouragement. His knowledge and passion definitely shines through his coaching.
My son and I dropped in while in vacation. I found Hannah and the whole organization to be responsive, inviting, and very professional. Hannah offered great feedback and was extremely motivating to the whole group. She appeared to be very well regarded by the athletes.

Chase is a super nice, chill personality. He gave really good tips on t2b today! As a CFL old-timer 👵, I still need new ideas/tweaks to relearn moves I used to be able to do and I appreciate that Chase pays attention to each person in class.
Every time I take a class with Cierra I feel as if I walk away more efficient at a movement that I want to improve. Her coaching helps a tiny bit more with every class!
Cierra made me feel like part of the team from the start. She set time aside to get me acclimated to the gym but didn’t hover when I was working out. She talked to me afterwards about my attendance and was very welcoming.
Cierra was great! When doing overhead squats, I tend to forget form and she always takes the time to remind me what needs to be corrected. Hanna and her team are all attentive to what is happening and how to correct everyone’s form so they don’t injure themselves. Thank you Coach Cierra

If you're looking for a coach who won't let you get away with anything, Cierra is your person. She's a fantastic coach who provides the kind of unfiltered—and yes, occasionally unsolicited—feedback you absolutely need to excel in CrossFit. Take this morning, for instance: the whole class was celebrating my new PR, only for Cierra to swoop in with a lightning-fast 'no-rep' because my knees slightly bent. All joking aside, anyone would be lucky to work with Cierra as her coaching elevates everyone around her.

Hanna always brings such great energy to class! If there was ever anyone’s want to follow me around and be my cheerleader, it would be her! She gives me ques that are super helpful and his fixed numerous movements just by helping me think about them differently. Her approach is awesome and I highly recommend that anyone thinking of trying CrossFit take a class from her ❤️
Sarah is the poster child for CF Lorton coaches and “what they do”. Like all the coaches, not only is Sarah technically sound in her coaching of technical movements….she cares about you as an athlete and person. This is the standard of CF Lorton coaches.

Issa’s class was phenomenal. She encouraged me to try crossovers with the jump rope (never having tried them before) and by the end of class I was stringing several sets together. She’s also very knowledgeable and encouraging !

Really good class. It was very large class but Thomas did a good job of commanding the class and staying on track. He made sure and gave feedback during the lifts even though there were so many people to pay attention to.

She was fantastic, she gave clear and concise information during the warm up, prep, and workout periods. Helped encourage use to push harder when needing to but also didn't pressure us to push further then we could or were comfortable with. She also had good little nuggets of information to improve out snatches. I know I especially benefited from one of her suggestions. I also loved the format with just focusing on an Olympic lift but I also love oly lifting.
Coach Cierra’s knowledge in CrossFit’s foundational movements is on point. Her passion for the sport is infectious. She inserts her coaching tips at appropriate times and is so encouraging during the workout. It’s always a delight to attend on of her classes.

Hey! I thought the class was great! I enjoy the programming and challenge it provides. Minor point: occasionally the music on the far side where I usually workout overpowers the instructor. That is almost never the case with you, but when Sarah is coaching it’s something to be mindful of. She’s absolutely wonderful, it’s just hard to hear her sometimes. Ya’ll are the best!
Class was great - a semi-tough but not impossible great way to start the week.
The coaches at CFL are beyond incredible. They somehow meet you where you are, all while knowing exactly how and when to challenge you. I continue to feel stronger and motivated to stay consistent each week. The encouraging community that has been fostered here is such a gift, making every workout fun. Sarah is an amazing coach. Some of the lifts were new for me today, but she was able to offer me modifications so I can correctly learn form and build up the needed muscles to eventually get the overhead snatches. She motivates me and makes coming to class a positive and fun experience.
