Wendy pushed me in the right ways today! I’m trying to get back into challenging myself workout-wise since I’ve been sick and my body has been protesting in other ways. During the overhead squats (OHSQs), Wendy coached me to focus on crunching my ribs down, which helped me have proper form. While on the bike, she didn’t let me slack too much. It’s invaluable to have a coach who knows exactly how hard to push you and when to hold back. Wendy’s expertise allowed for the workout to feel challenging but doable, which is exactly what I needed. Jen is always great to work with, she knows how and when to motivate you. She appreciates listens to her athletes, and can help pivot when and if the need arises. Even if it is in the middle if the WOD!
Jen coaching is one of my favorite aspects of being a member at CrossFit JAX. She has an innate ability to connect with people by genuinely listening and responding to each athlete’s needs. During class, she carefully watches form and offers clear, easy-to-understand cues that help me improve without feeling overwhelmed. She breaks down complex movements in a way that makes them approachable, and her energy keeps the atmosphere lively and motivating. Jen makes the environment fun by encouraging everyone with a smile and a bit of humor, which turns tough workouts into sessions I look forward to. She is truly an asset to the gym, and I am grateful for each class I get to train with her!

CrossFit Jax feels like home from the moment you walk in. Wendy has been great since the very first time I had her as a coach. She takes the time to really get to know you - your strengths, your weaknesses, and how you respond to different workouts. During sessions, she carefully watches your form and adjusts your weight or movements to challenge you just enough without risking injury. She knows exactly when to push you harder, especially on those days when you might be holding back, and when to encourage you to keep going. Her coaching style is very encouraging and down to earth, which makes every workout feel achievable and motivating rather than intimidating. I love how she creates a space at CrossFit JAX where you feel supported but also challenged, making each training session something I look forward to.

I am old and very out of shape, and my son attends daily and is in phenomenal shape so I was worried. Meghan paid special attention to ensure modifications that fit my abilities perfectly - she carefully adjusted exercises, suggesting alternatives that didn’t strain me but still challenged my limits. Her encouragement and constant check-ins made me feel supported throughout the entire workout. Everyone at CrossFit JAX made me feel so welcome; the atmosphere is warm and accepting, with people genuinely happy to see you and ready to help. It’s not just about working out here - it’s about feeling part of a community that lifts you up no matter your starting point.
Other than the bike i loved todays workout. The coaching was spot on. You hit all the important points and got us well warmed up for the main event. In addition to all the information you provide, the encouragement is what makes us work harder than we would on our own. Thank you One legged squats are so important for knee stability. Wish we saw them more often

Coach Wendy did a wonderful job today as always. Her ability to facilitate dynamic mobility movement to prep the athlete for optimal performance in a heavy lift is unparalleled. The care she takes for each athlete and her abundance of motivation and excitement make these heavy lifting days more meaningful. This gym will get the best out of anyone who puts in the work. Wendy is a big reason why.

Lifting and exercise are not new to me, but Crossfit I have found intimidating. Wendy was wonderful helping me and making sure I felt comfortable with each exercise and movement. In addition, Wendy and Jax Crossfit spent time to learn about my injuries and created a routine that was safe for me. Truly a great experience!

Wendy is a perfectionist! Her specific cues are extremely helpful. For instance, today my hip extension was performing well, but the cue of locking out overhead was something I reminded myself during the workout. I am always excited to take a class that Wendy is coaching!!!

This was my first drop in class at CrossFit Jax. I’m definitely not an Rx athlete and Jenifer was a wonderful. She helped me scale what I needed and gave great advice throughout the workout. Also the members of the gym were very welcoming. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in town.

This was my first ever cross fit class. Wendy made me feel welcome and taught me proper form for holding a bar and proper technique for dead lifts. The entire team was very welcoming.
Saturday is the ultimate test for a coach. It's like hearding cats. Shelby's ability to demo any barbell movement is impressive. Hear voice carries well for everyone hear and understand her. A true professional and motivator. Lucky to have her a our gym, CFJAX!

Shelby made my first CrossFit experience a great one. She was very welcoming, explained all the movements clearly and was a great coach along the way. I had fun and got a great workout in.
Shelby was so professional and attentive to everyone‘s needs, no matter if newbie or seasoned cross fitter. She was able to find small improvements for my form and she kept the motivation high the entire time! Her background in physical therapy is an added bonus. I’ve been to different boxes before, having a trainer like Shelby is definitely a gift!
Wendy did great and had a good presence during the workout. The only thing that made me think twice was the part about mechanics consistently and then intensity. Although very important for a coach to not only understand but also implement, I don’t think this is something that the clients really care about or need to know. Now I know this I very small, but I believe that the information put out by the coach should be practical and of use to the clients on their fitness journey. Just a suggestion but overall great class!

Shelby is an incredible coach. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is so knowledgeable, keeps the class fully engaged and makes it a point to coach/critique each person individually in the class no matter how many are in attendance. A 10/10 experience every time.
The workshop was amazing! Just what I needed to remind me of how important it is to set SMART goals. And a reminder to take time to actually work on my goals instead of just floating along. I already ordered my month at a glance calendar :) The examples were super helpful as sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to start. And Wendy sets a perfect example in her own life for others to follow.
Awesome atmosphere and coaching was great. They have the community you’re supposed to have at a gym, that’s what CrossFit is about. Felt like I was at my home gym. I will be back if I’m back in town!

Jenifer always takes the time to explain any thing you need and explains options for the workout when you need to adjust for the day...all with a smile. Great coach...She also keeps an eye on you to help in case your form is not correct. That is important because at other gyms some of the instructors just let you do the workout even when you are not doing the movements correctly...You don't get away with that with Jen as your coach...
I am just now returning to they gym. My experience with Shelby (both times that I have had her as a coach) has been exceptional. Today was a workout I considered skipping because of some limitations. I appreciate her collaboration and helping me come to a scale that would preserve the stimulus of the workout and challenging me enough to walk out feeling as if I accomplished something. Great addition to the coaching staff.
