I came to town for a few days and was looking for a gym I could drop into to stay on track with my training. These guys made it easy. They were very welcoming and the gym had everything I needed.

Jeremy was great, the workout was fun and Jeremy gave me feedback on my initial lift. One feedback I suggest is able to see the daily workout for drop-ins members. That shouldn’t matter to me in a month but for future drop in members to view and choose their class workout to match their schedule.

My girlfriend and I dropped in from California. Amy was our coach and she did an amazing job coaching a good size class. She provided some input on my push jerk, I made her suggested adjustment, and definitely saw an improvement. Nice gym and a good coach. We’ll definitely visit again next time in Austin. Tony

What was the highlight of today's workout? Honestly I enjoyed the whole workout, it’s always nice to be around athletes pushing each other. The sleds were intense! Overall great cardio and mix of strength. Coach Victoria was great, she even critiqued me on my squat! (Mean Coach)

I’m in town for work but train 6 days at 5am typically when I’m at home. I had a choice of 4 CrossFit gyms within running distance to my hotel. (I knew I had to run to and from the gym each day) I’m so glad I chose this one!!! This facility is amazing!! It meets the needs of all athletes. You can take classes or do your own thing, they have pickle ball courts and personal training. There’s even an area for heavy lifting too. Totally loved the vibe here. Mel was very welcoming on day one (Sunday) even with an event going on. She made sure we were all set and had what we needed. I attended Monday and Wednesday with Jeremy. He was terrific. He kept class moving and was informative. He demonstrated all movements. I would totally recommend this gym to anyone dropping in or looking for a home gym. The 5:15am crew is SOLID! Thank for having me!!!!

I was in Austin just dropping in and man do I wish this was my local gym. The amenities, the class schedule, the community all top notch. Chris was an excellent coach and balanced taking his time to teach the movements while also pushing us and keeping the class going well. He was friendly- not intimidating in the least. Whether you’re new to CrossFit or a seasoned athlete this gym, and Chris are the place to go in Austin

I attended open gym, but met Chris in the process. Overall, this is such a cool gym with really nice people. I was dropping in from out of town for a work trip. I will absolutely be back. I love that this facility offers open gym to folks traveling in just looking to do a quick workout. I like that Amy circulated to assure we were using proper technique during the MetCon. You can loose technique when your fatigued and trying to go fast! Amy was a great coach!

Chris was so chill and welcoming. Immediately greeted up and let us know what to expect in class. I feel we got a lot done in the hour. Warm up was quick and relevant to the movements for the skill & WOD. He knew how to split the group and delivered the scaling options quickly. He used our names, checked in with us, as well as everyone else in class, and made us feel right at home. Great class!
Coach Chris always takes the time before or after a session to help me gain more shoulder mobility by walking me through some more focused stretches. He has also helped me achieve my first muscle up! Coach Chris is my hero. 🦸♂️

1st time for me and it was a solid experience. I work out pretty religiously but I’ve never tried this and it was pretty awesome . It’s was good to break away from routine and get gritty ! She’s the best coach ever! Super helpful and encouraging, very knowledgeable and pushes you but at your own pace, I felt like I was going to pass out during one of the workouts and she toned it down for me and told me to sit, I was able to recover and get back in it. Give her a raise please.
I took Hybrid class with Jeremy and it was amazing! He was so attentive and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I truly loved the class and I’ll definitely be coming back—it was incredible. The group energy was also great, everyone was so supportive and encouraging. 💪✨

At first I was intimidated because I had heard how hard CrossFit was, but I looked around and saw people doing way above my level, then some a little above and finally something I could do. I went with my two children,11 and 14 and Chris did an incredible job accommodating and making us work but at our level. Thanks again!!!

I dropped in to CrossFit Central while visiting Austin. CC is a true professional operation and it’s clear why they are one of the longest running affiliates. Coach Chris welcomed me at the door, showed me around and then coached a great class. Great programming and staff. I have visited many gyms through the years and the great ones stand out. If you are an experienced Crossfitter or completely new to CF this place will check all the boxes for you.
I’m always anxious when dropping in to a box. Chris made me feel at home an ran a well structured class. Will be back.

I absolutely loved today’s class with Amy! Such amazing thorough coaching that helps, strengthens, and builds confidence. I continue to be blown away by both how accessible this gym is and how rigorous the workouts can be. Amy also helped answer a lot of questions my partner had which I really appreciated. The gym also always appears to have additional offerings going on which really rivals my local gym (three hours away). I love how community based and driven Central. Can’t wait to move here and come more regularly!

Today’s class was a great workout to start the week. Very sweaty! And the perfect amount of tough. Thank you to coach Virgil for also helping me out with my form in the lower-back squats. The stretch sesh was also very necessary before the AMRAP.

Dropped in while I was in Austin and had a great experience. Chris was dialed in from the start, he gave a quick walkthrough of the space, kicked things off with structured mobility work, and brought solid energy throughout the session. His coaching was top-notch; clear, attentive, and focused on good movement. He gave helpful cues on the GHDs and Candlesticks, making sure form and control were there without overexplaining. The other athletes were great too, welcoming, focused, and easy to train alongside. I’ll definitely hit another drop-in next time I’m back.
I’m actually a Denver native and I come out to Austin about once a month for work. Virgil and his team are excellent coaches! The attention to detail, from the stretching in the beginning to making sure our form is clean so we don’t hurt ourselves, if you live in Austin full-time or you are traveling, this is the gym to workout at. They’ve created a fun, team-oriented culture here and I can tell by the handful of times I’ve been how special this gym is. I could not be more pleased with Virgil and his staff!

Chris does a really good job with explanations for class mvmts. There is a directness & simplicity that gets to the points of performance without over explaining. I love gymnastic mvmts but Handstand anything is tough for me. I have really been enjoying the progressions & skill work for getting better at HSPU & Free HS skills. All around, I Love the programming!

Chris was great. Attentive to all of the clients. Demonstrated every movement we would be doing before each EMOM circuit and gave us tips on how to approach each of the two workout segments.

Eva helped me right when I walked in and made me feel welcome. It’s a big gym so having someone at the front desk definitely helped me find where class was. Eva also checked in on me after class to see how everything went. Overall, great experience!
The class today was great ! Being new to crossfit, the team made me feel comfortable with this new experience At some point i was trying to figure out the nomination, techniques etc… Jeremy was very helpful and professional by guiding me and giving me tips. Thank you for that ! Happy to have joined central. And looking forward to push myself further Tony

Chris is very knowledgeable and makes the class exiting. Chris is also very easy to talk with and from what I see enjoys coaching.

Really enjoy the barbell/conditioning class programming. Will makes himself available and makes sure to provide feedback on everyone’s form. For me, he noted what was good and gave me a good cue to work on full extension before pulling under, which helped a lot. Look forward to future classes

William teaches a great weightlifting class! He is very knowledgeable and provides great insight into improving form and technique. Highly recommend this class for anyone new or experienced with weightlifting.
This was my 7th time dropping into a class at CrossFit Central, and every time I travel to Austin, it’s the first thing I book. I literally count the hours until I get to attend class! The community is welcoming, the staff is kind, and there’s always a few other drop-ins too, which makes it feel even more inclusive. Do yourself a favor and book a class you won’t regret it. Just one session can change your life, especially if you get the chance to be coached by Jeremy Thiel. Highly recommend!
Eva's classes are are always lovely to walk into. Eva greets everyone with a smile and nod. Her coaching style is also great. Unless you're doing something that is going to cause harm, she takes notes and coaches you when you have a break so as to not affect your metcon. And she always remembers to shout out firsts: first timers, first muscle ups, etc.

Coach Cullen was the coach for this class & and he is awesome, very engaging, gave good clear instructions before class. He threw in some good jokes in between! That being said every coach I’ve had at CF Central is 100% cool!

I really enjoy Eva’s classes. She’s always welcoming and knowledgeable. I find her classes motivating, and always leave feeling like I’ve accomplished something. I cant do lunges due to an old injury, and she has always given me good alternatives when they’re in the WOD.
Amy was very welcoming! She gave lots of scaling options for gymnastics movements
