Tough class today. A long workout on a Friday after a week of tough workouts isn’t always fun but Cara made it more enjoyable. She is always positive and encouraging. It’s great to have a coaches support during a wod like today’s. It keeps everyone motivated, moving and pushing till the end.

Cara did a fantastic job from beginning to end. She gave a great explanation of the workout that included how to strategize and demoed movements. Next, she gave a great warmup that pertained to the movement selection within the workout. During the workout she kept the energy high by circulating to everyone in the room multiple times throughout the workout and giving feedback if needed. Specifically, I was paired with a newer member where she gave attention to detail and cued him when needed and or making adjustments. Lastly, she wrapped up the workout by making sure to get to everyone for a final “good job” to make sure everyone left on a high note. Thanks, Cara!

I have been coming to the gym for a few months now and I love the atmosphere. James is a super welcoming coach. He always makes sure to say hello with a fist bump and a smile. Carlene’s Endurance class is always a winner. As a long distance runner it’s the perfect cross training to pair with my run training. Carlene is great at modifying moves for those who need it, and is encouraging but firm in making sure you push yourself.

Great class today Dave! I like that we shared equipment in small groups, it freed up the rig space and there was room for dubs as well. I like that it was just a yes or no for completion in push press. We didn’t need to keep track of reps and it kept the minute moving smoothly. It definitely got harder as the time progressed but I got a great workout in today!

Rob helped to break down the mechanics to sharpen both my form and power. I was able to exceed my one round max at the onset and based on his observation he felt I could have easily added another 15 lbs which gives me a better target to shoot for that will challenge me but is achievable. He also demonstrated how incorporating the feedback on the push press would also translate to the push jerk. His guidance is thoughtful and tailored to where your are while challenging you to move beyond to achieve more.

Gabby is probably my biggest cheerleader at the gym. She pushes me to keep going, gives clear direction on movements, lets me know when I need to add weight on or take weight off & focus on my form. She has, on more than one occasion, stepped out of her own workout, to coach me if she sees me struggling or if my form falls apart. She gives excellent visual cues on movements. And if all that isn’t enough, she’s just a genuinely good person. She is knowledgeable & approachable.

It was a great class! Thanks Coach CJ! I was encouraged to do box jumps as opposed to box step ups. I did them and felt good! I did med ball slams today for the 1st time ever! I think I smiled after each one. Coach CJ paided attention to everyone and coached really well!

My experience with Julie as a coach is always a wonderful one. She’s very observant because she noticed that while I was doing the bench press I had the bench seat the wrong way …that you have to have the shorter end of the legs out when you’re placing your plates to raise your legs up a little bit for a short legs like mine.. in addition, she’s always making sure everybody’s form is correct💪🏻😁💕

Carlene is an incredible coach. She focuses on the basics during the brief, to remind athletes of expectations and safe movements. I can’t say enough good things about Christine. I showed up for class feeling and sounding like death and she made sure I didn’t over exert myself while sick. Her main focus was just to get me moving regardless of how much I scaled today and she was so supportive. I appreciate her so much!

Big Rob has been my coach for most of the classes I’ve taken since joining, and he’s awesome! As someone who’s still pretty new to CrossFit, I really appreciate how he always checks my form and gives me tips to improve. I appreciate Big Rob teaching me about 1,000 times on how to do Power Cleans until I think I finally got it. He’s super patient and makes the workouts fun while pushing me to do my best. This workout kicked my ass as they always do. These are what keep me coming back to CrossFit 845.

Dave did a fantastic job with a very busy and energetic 5am class this morning, making sure everyone had the opportunity to complete both workouts with even setting up a shuttle run area with how cold it was this morning for those athletes who wanted to run for their monostructure. He made standards clear for each workout, especially discussing the difference between a Push Press and Push Jerk. I look forward to Tuesday mornings with Dave! 🙌🏻

Cara killed it today! The 12 days of Christmas WOD has a lot going on and is always a huge class. Cara wrangled everyone in, went through the whiteboard brief clearly, made sure to check in with everyone to make sure they were set, AND get the workout started on time. Cara can handle a big class and a big WOD with lots of moving pieces while staying light and breezy and keeping the class fun!

We did Sumo deadlifts in class today and Kristie was extremely helpful with quick tips/tweaks to get better form and add more weight. I’ve been coming to CrossFit 845 for about six months and I think this was my first time doing this movement. By the end of the workout I felt like I had more confidence in the lift and was able to do more than I thought I would.

Coach Dave is enthusiastic & lively, and incredibly knowledgeable about fitness. My friend Marian and I had a blast at CrossFit 845’s Saturday team workout! We dropped in from Northeast PA and we felt very welcomed by Dave and his athletes!! Dave gave us the gym tour, allowed us to help create the workout and he put us on a team with another athlete!! The gym was incredibly clean, organized and there was air conditioning!!
