What’s one change you’ve noticed since joining CrossFit 845 - Poughkeepsie? I really noticed that my whole body is getting stronger. I really appreciate the diversity of exercises and the coaching has been excellent from Maggie to Vicky to Ashley and Gabby. Everyone has been great.
Maggie is great! She knows so much about every movement and always takes the time to explain proper form and technique, which helps prevent injury and makes the workouts more effective. During my sessions at CrossFit 845 - Poughkeepsie, she pays close attention to how I’m doing and offers encouragement or modifies exercises when needed, so I never feel overwhelmed. Her support makes a big difference, especially on days when I’m feeling tired or unmotivated. It’s clear she cares about each person’s progress and creates a positive, motivating atmosphere. That kind of coaching makes coming to CrossFit 845 - Poughkeepsie something I look forward to every time.

Second class back after years of not working out. Chaz was very good about not pushing me too hard but giving pointers to keep me safe coming back. He carefully watched my form during each movement, gently correcting my posture and suggesting modifications when needed to prevent any strain. There was lots of energy in the room at CrossFit 845 - Poughkeepsie - people encouraging each other, upbeat music, and a lively pace that kept me motivated without feeling overwhelmed. Chaz made me feel very welcome from the moment I walked in, checking in on how I was doing throughout the class and making sure I stayed comfortable while still getting a solid workout. It was the perfect balance of support and challenge for someone easing back into fitness.

I had a class with Dave this morning at CrossFit 845 PK and I’m so glad I went! I injured myself last week and was nervous about coming back, but Dave was incredible — he adapted the workout so I could move safely and still get a great sweat in. I had no pain and, even better, I overcame my fear of getting back to it after an injury. Feeling grateful for the support and encouragement!

Today’s class was tough, but Art kept encouraging and motivating me the whole time. Thanks to his support, I pushed through and finished strong. Taking these classes has really boosted my confidence and strength 😊

Loved starting with a good strength training routine. The workout was set up great. Finishing off with a back and arm pump workout was awesome. Genuinely happy with my first CrossFit workout!

I absolutely love CrossFit845! The energy, community, and support here are unmatched. Every coach brings something special to the workouts, and they all truly care about helping you reach your goals. A huge shoutout to James who I personally have the privilege of coaching me every week. He is an incredible trainer who pushes you to do your best while keeping things fun and motivating. He’s always paying attention to form and technique, making sure you’re training safely and effectively. My favorite part of seeing James weekly are the motivational fist pumps! 👊🏽 The entire team at CrossFit845 makes the gym feel like family. No matter your fitness level, they meet you where you are and help you become stronger every day. I can’t recommend this place enough! 💪🔥

James was great! He had Artie demo all the movements and then kept the class pumped and going for the AMRAP. My favorite thing was his music selection of Rock/Metal. Definitely kept me motivated as well as my team of 3! Loved working out with Artie and Jenna! They kicked ass.

Felt nervous at first, but the coach’s discipline, encouragement, and energy put me at ease right away.
This was my first time working with Chaz and this type of class. and let me say it will deff not be my last. Not only did all the stretching we did feel amazing but after we did some olympic weightlifting and I was able to lift weight easily that I used to struggle getting up. This guys knows his stuff but also keeps it fun . Highly recommend checking him out !!
Fantastic coaching. Super encouraging and relates to all different levels of abilities. Our class which is geared towards more “mature” age group doesn’t hold back on challenges. Today we did rope climbs! Not everyone was able to do them but modifications were available for all levels. We were all challenged to give it a go and give it all we got. And doing it with the carefull and competent guidance of Jon. Everybody finished with sweat on their foreheads and a great workout in the books.

He has the programming and coaching down very precisely. Super appreciative of the detail to form and technicality of lifts. The time spent on form alone allowed for significant increase in strength in the areas focused.
Gabby is great. She explains the movements very well and breaks everything down to make it easy to follow. She also offers great support during the workout. Hearing her enthusiastic support and encouragement helped me finished today’s workout just in time.
I am so thankful for Jon’s unlimited patience and guidance as I continue to learn and understand the various movements. His instruction regarding bench presses was brought to my level to both position and form.

Jon is always very patient and educating, I feel like I always learn something, or a lot, whenever he coaches. He really puts an effort in giving you the best tips and techniques for you to succeed. He cares about form more than weight or repetition and I think that is very important. He’s very humble and he keeps things simple for you to understand. Also, I don’t feel embarrassed to ask anything or if I don’t remember something that he already had explained, he never makes you feel like you bother him. Honestly, I’m thankful he’s one of the coaches and I truly appreciate his help, input and professionalism.

Today was my first class at CrossFit 845 & it was great! I look forward to attending another. The coach Dave is very attentive to helping make sure your form is good & that you’re doing the workouts correctly. I noticed that he took the time out to circle around to check on & coach members individually where it was needed.. I really appreciate that in a coach, so thank you Dave!! Also the gym is very nice, the other members were very supportive & kind. I definitely felt like I’ve belonged to the gym for some time that’s how welcoming everyone was 😊

Maggie was awesome today 👍👍! She encouraged us all to help select moves for the team workout. She then demonstrated the scaled options. I needed a bit of guidance to be more efficient in my rowing which Maggie provided. She checked back to see if I was able to adjust my rowing. Always upbeat and kind- I enjoyed the class.
I really believe in this class. The workout was tough and challenging, between the 100% back squats and those wall balls, but with enough variation to keep it from getting boring.
Jon always has excellent instructions for both RX and scale workouts. John is consistently making sure my form is correct.
